Full-Time ClassifiedThe ICAP Career Advisorposition isOpen Until Filled so that we can find the ideal candidate for our amazing team. This is a grant-funded position with a 2.5-year grant and the position is dependent upon continued funding.

Are you interested in pushing the boundaries of what education could be for a dynamic community college in a beautiful rural setting? If yes, then this is the position for you!

As a Full-Time Classified ICAP Career Advisor,you will provide 1-on-1 academic advising and career coaching and work closely with community and campus partners including Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation, Accessibility Services, college academic and student affairs programs, and the wider statewide ICAP consortia to ensure successful participant outcomes. You will provide a link between clients working with Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation and college training programs in close partnership with UCC’s Accessibility Services department. The ICAP Career Advisor will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as amended and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and refer to Accessibility Services to determine appropriate accommodations.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, sociology, social work, education, or related field or associate degree plus equivalent experience.
  • Student services experience in the areas of advising, testing, financial aid, career coaching, or related.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and experience working with individuals from diverse social, economic, ethnic, academic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience working in the field of accessibility services preferred.
  • Demonstrated presentation, seminar, workshop, and/or teaching experience preferred.
  • Career Counseling or Career Coaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven relationship with business and industry strongly preferred.
