Manager of Technology and Marketing for Admissions and Student Aid

Primary management of admissions and financial aid software systems, serving as the liaison to our software platform (Slate) and application service platforms, (Common, App, Coalition, Questbridge) and for financial aid (PowerFaids, Net Price Calculator, MyIntuition); responsible for training and documentation for all systems related work in admissions and financial aid.

Primary liaison to Bowdoin Office of Communications to help define the vision, goals, opportunities and initiatives for effective internal and external communications strategy representing admissions and financial aid; leadership in strategic use of multiple communications methods with heavy focuses on digital, as well as print.

Manage analytics infrastructure across admissions and financial aid offices; represent the division of admissions and financial aid in data related grounds issues on campus and primary liaison to institutional research department for admissions and financial aid data reporting and sharing. Specific focus on business analytics, digital marketing, data visualization (HTML, SQL, CRM management, dashboards, reporting, etc.)

Oversight of office operations as they relate to systems management, communications, reporting; data management; supervision of seven operations staff.

Normal business hours between 8:30am and 5:00 pm. Long hours and frequent weekend and evening work required during peak periods. Travel is a necessary component of this position. This is an exempt-level position and requires the time commitment necessary to successfully complete all job responsibilities.

A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred. Applicants must possess excellent organizational skills and exceptional oral and written communication skills. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, as well as facility with multiple technologies, are necessary.

Preferred minimum 5 years of digital marketing, business analytics, project management. Experience in Higher Education preferred, not required. A willingness to travel and to work extended hours during peak periods is necessary. Proficiency in a variety of common software programs ( Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Experience with the following programs are preferred: Slate, Common App, Coalition, Questbridge, PowerFaids, Net Price Calculator and MyIntuition.
