The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for an open rank, full-time, tenure-track faculty member in the area of rhetoric and language studies to begin Fall 2018.

The ideal candidate is an exemplary rhetorical scholar and teacher whose interests and/or research concern issues of diversity, especially gender and LGBTQ issues. All candidates should have an ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in rhetorical theory, criticism, and history; the ability to teach large courses is a plus. Applicants with an active and established research program are preferred.
