Administrative Coordinator, Digital Learning

The Administrative Coordinator supports the Digital Learning team which includes the Media Production Group. Responsibilities include serving as a member of a team providing logistical support for instructors, courses, and services offered through the Digital Learning & Innovation Team at the School of Professional Studies. The position will work under the direction of the Senior Director of Digital Learning Initiatives, providing year-round logistical support by maintaining database information, communicating with instructors regarding all aspects of online courses including the details of course offerings, classroom needs, media support, computing support, project management and communications. The position also provides operational and administrative support to the Assistant Director of Digital Learning & Innovation, Manager of the Digital Media Group, and other members of the Digital Learning team.  

This position requires close attention to detail, orientation to a team work environment, ability to change priorities to address immediate needs, to problem solve and seek help when needed, work quickly and accurately, maintain professional decorum when faced with problems to solve, work with multiple professional staff including graduate students, post-docs, faculty, university departments and outside vendors.  The position requires a high tolerance for working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to acclimate to changes due to the growing nature of this department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in an academic environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computing proficiency preferred including experience using Google Apps for Education and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, Smartsheet, Learning Management Systems, and/or Banner or Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize multiple competing priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, identify areas for improvement, and act accordingly.
