Job Description:

Provides support to the Director of Admissions and the Admissions Program Coordinator of Future Student Experience, Events, and Programs in the development, coordination and execution of future student events and programs that support individual student guests and their families, groups of student guests, community partners, and school representatives. This includes but is not limited to the Group Campus Visit Program, off-campus and community programs, and on-campus events such as Open Houses, Daily Previews, Ready-Set-Register, We Are STEM, and Next Step Sessions.

1) Supports the Admissions Director, Admissions Program Coordinator of Future Student Experience, Events, and Programs, and department associates with the development and implementation of events and programs for future student's recruitment and outreach as well as the marketing of those programs.

2) Collaborates with Columbus State departments and off-campus organizations in planning campus-wide projects, programs, and opportunities for student guests, parents, community partners, schools, and other organizations participation.

3) Assists with recruitment, orientation, and training of department's new student Events and Tours Assistants.

4) Assists in coordinating calendars and schedules of on-campus and off-campus opportunities and functions; including group visits, college fairs, and education nights.

5) Assists with event and program planning needs such as space requests, catering orders, print services requests, equipment and facility requests, parking needs, etc.

6) Collaborates with internal partners to support coordination work of materials needed for future student recruitment and outreach programs such as folders, fliers, brochures, invitations, follow-up communications and reminders.

7) Advocates departmental and college goals and objectives and provides support on all experiences, projects, events, and programs for future students and guests.

8) Attends and assists with meetings such as Planning Committees and Advisory Committees.

9) Assists with the clerical and data entry needs that support recruitment and outreach programs such as tracking, reporting, and evaluations.

10) Assists with communication and formalization of department constituents in future student events and programs.

11) Adheres to the budget process and works with departments Program Coordinator of Future Student Experience, Events, and Programs, Senior Administrative Support Associate, and Office Associates on requisitions, orders, payment submission, and other budgetary needs surrounding future student events and programs.

12) May serve on campus-wide committees as directed by the Admissions Director and Program Coordinator of Future Student Experience, Events, and Programs.

13) Maintains confidentiality of student records and other confidential information within FERPA and departmental guidelines.

14) Assists with the priority and execution of multiple projects and deadlines at one time.

15) Works as a team player and exhibits Columbus State behaviors with both internal and external partners that reflects positively on the department and college and is consistent with Columbus State's policies and practices.

16) Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside normal schedule as needed to meet workload demand.

17) Performs other related duties as required.

Usual Physical Demands: The incumbent of this position typically exhibits the physical demands identified in the Functional Job Analysis on file in the College's Human Resources Department and which is periodically reviewed and updated. Physical demands listed in the Functional Job Analysis are not job qualification standards, but are used to help the College assess and determine reasonable accommodations for otherwise qualified individuals covered by the American's with Disabilities Act.

Employee regularly sits or stands for extended periods of time. Employee converses verbally with others in person or by telephone. Vision demands include relatively detailed vision. Employee frequently interacts with Buyers, other employees of the Auxiliary Services Department, the college, and vendors. Employee occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, and lifts up to 75 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of experience in a professional office/clerical environment; proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with a Client Relationship Manager (CRM), i.e. Radius by Campus Management.
