Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor - Sport Coaching Leadership

The School of Education at Drexel University invites applications for a 9 month, full-time non tenure-track Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor position within the Sport Coaching Leadership Program. The successful candidate will serve as the Sport Coaching Leadership faculty member in the Teaching, Learning and Curriculum department. In this role, the successful candidate will develop and teach undergraduate sport coaching content and pedagogy courses, provide academic advising to sport coaching leadership students, engage in scholarship and service, and establish and maintain relationships within the sport industry/community.

Qualifications:

The successful candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- An earned a doctorate in Sport Management, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a closely related field
- Experience with teaching and course development at the university level
- Understanding and expertise in coaching pedagogy
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial experience and interest
- History of collaboration, particularly within and across departments
- Advising experience with undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds
- Experience teaching online or in blended/hybrid formats using an array of learning technologies and platforms (e.g., Blackboard Learn)

In addition, the preferred qualifications include the following:
- Experience in designing and supporting sport-based practicum
- Expertise in multiple sports
- Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence, equity, diversity, and social justice
- International affiliations

Essential Functions:

The primary function of this position is to develop the Sport Coaching Leadership Master's program and the undergraduate minor. The successful candidate will instruct in the program as well as develop and maintain relationships with current and new partners in the field who can also teach graduate level courses. This faculty member will work collaboratively with other faculty within and across programs, as well as staff and administration. The successful candidate will assist the efforts in the growth and development of the Sport Coaching Leadership Master's program and respond to market needs and current trends in Coaching. The candidate will be an active participant in all aspects of the Sport Coaching Leadership program including recruitment, retention, and development.
