Assistant College Relations Manager

Status: Full-time, exempt
Schedule: M-F, 8.30a.m. 4.30p.m, including occasional evening and weekend work

Summary of position:

The Recruiting & Advising Department provides support to students, families, and schools throughout the process of selection and application to IES Abroad programs. The Assistant is responsible for supporting the various aspects of college relations for designated schools, initiating communication with prospective applicants to IES Abroad programs, completing data entry related to departmental activities, and supporting projects within the department.

Experience & Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet, Microsoft Office, and database skills.
  • Ability to travel 40%
  • Ability to work with social media.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team comprised of Chicago-based and field-based staff
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Friendly phone presence
  • Enthusiasm for study abroad
  • 1-2 years of experience in the field of study abroad or related experience in higher education preferred

Education Licenses and/or Certifications etc.:

  • Bachelor's degree required;
  • Study Abroad experience required
  • Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be willing and able to drive a car
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
