The Smith College Non-Degree Programs team is looking for an experienced business development professional who is passionate about women in business, and excited to fill a growing suite of Executive Education programs. Responsible for implementing a successful sales strategy that includes managing existing corporate clients and building a pipeline of organizations that send highly qualified participants to programs.

- Develop and execute strategies for business development that can be monitored, measured and optimized according to industry best practices.

- Develop knowledge and expertise on our open enrollment programs Executive Education to communicate to client organizations and individuals.

- Respond to, assess and qualify new custom program opportunities to meet business objectives.

- Develop relationships with senior L&D decision-makers to deliver a quantifiable pipeline of qualified organizations that will send participants to Open Enrollment and/or Custom programs.

- Assess fit of inbound inquiries through phone, email and in-person conversations.

- Maintain relationships with client organizations, fill programs and ensure needs are met.

- Develop and deliver quantitative and qualitative reports to update the team on business development efforts.

- Develop and manage periodic communication (e.g., email newsletter) for corporate clients.

- Establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.

- Accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness.

- Actively participate in process improvements. Create project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.

- Develop and meet budget(s).

- Stay current with business development trends to help grow Non-Degree Programs.

- Support the development of new programs through analysis of customer requests.

- Represent Smith Non-Degree Programs at industry and professional association events.

- Other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience: Bachelor's degree, plus 5-7 years of relevant sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.

Skills: Outstanding communication, problem-solving, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, judgment, writing, and presentation skills. Creative and strategic thinker able to assist in driving increased revenue to achieve financial goals. Ability to build trust and productive working relationships with individuals at all levels. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in an environment with constantly changing client needs. Ability to make data-driven decisions; good judgment with confidential information. Demonstrated ability to develop high standards of performance and professionalism to lead projects from beginning to end while meeting revenue mandates. Proficiency with Google G Suite, Microsoft Office and a CRM. Strong work ethic, curiosity and passion for advancing women in business.
