Shift

Primarily days with core hours Monday – Friday from 8:00AM -5:00PM. However, additional evenings and/or weekends may be necessary to accomplish work goals and/or workload.



Job Summary

University of Kentucky Internal Audit (UKIA) assists university management, administration, and the Board of Trustees in the effective discharge of their fiduciary and administrative responsibilities by providing independent, objective assurance and consulting services with respect to evaluating risk management, internal controls, and governance processes. By monitoring areas of potential vulnerability and pursuing preventive measures, we assist all members of the university community to comply with policies and procedures and uphold the highest standards of business conduct.

Currently we are seeking an Audit Consultant Assistant to support these efforts. This position is to provide audit an administrative support. This position will report to the Audit Consultant Manager. Responsibilities will include: collaboration with a team of auditors to understand client’s business and organizational practices; participate on audits in the field; research, read, review and interpret federal and state regulations applicable to projects; note-taking to support client interviews; analyze business documentation, reports and data; develop workflows of business processes and assist in identifying areas of opportunity; enter and verify data; participate in team meetings; initiate and perform cursory review of audit documents in the audit management system; support the development of auditor trainings and participate in all trainings; and additional projects/tasks as assigned.
