Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm; some flexibility to work an evening now and then to meet with subject matter experts who have full-time jobs outside the college.

Job Description:

* Work collaboratively with subject matter experts, staff, and instructors in the development of hybrid and online course curriculum and assessment

* Guide the creation of instructional materials for existing and new initiatives in accordance with learning and assessment best practices

* Analyze instructional materials and assessments, and provide suggestions and concrete examples for refinement of materials to improve learning, improve the measurement of learning, and increase engagement

* Take a lead role in multiple course design projects to drive completion, including creating deliverables and milestone plans with target dates, then work with subject matter experts to support on-time delivery

* Work as a part of team, participating regularly in status meetings and sharing knowledge with others

* Perform other related duties as required.

While performing duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Employee regularly uses and reaches with hands and arms when operating computer and during presentations. The employee occasionally stoops, kneels and crouches while setting up presentation equipment. Employee converses verbally with others in person and by telephone. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen.

Working Conditions: Normal office working conditions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: curriculum development and assessment, learning theory and adult learning models, instructional design, project management,and risk management, familiarity with learning management systems. Skill in: planning, organizing and self-management, critical thinking, problem- solving, analysis and synthesis skills. Ability to: work independently with little supervision; work collaboratively (team environment); work within established institutional protocols; manage time effectively; meet deadlines

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications for this position are: Bachelor's degree. Significant curriculum development and assessment experience, project management experience. Successful teaching and/or training /experience. Experience leading the design and development of course materials and resources for hybrid and online delivery. Experience in web conferencing, particularly as a means for course delivery. Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Blackboard or similar learning management system a plus; teaching and/or training experience in K-12 or Higher Ed online preferred.
