Director, Marketing and Community Relations



HighlandCommunity College is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Marketing and Community Relations. This position will oversee, develop and implement the College’s marketing and public relations plan. This includes media relations, marketing and community relations programs. The successful applicant will approach projects and publications creatively and develop and maintain the College web site, digital marketing, and social media presence, multi-media tools, and publications. Will work with media and direct community relations and recruitment related marketing strategies. This position will also oversee departmental staff, provide strategic marketing planning, direct day to day operations, work collaboratively with faculty and staff, and monitor department budgets.

A Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, management or related field required. Master’s degree is preferred. Must have 5 years marketing or public relations experience and 2 years supervisory experience. Sound judgment, high level of confidentiality, strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
