Financial/Administrative Coordinator

This position is responsible for organizing and recording all data associated with animal research billing in customized billing software. Responsibilities include issuing invoices timely on a monthly basis. This position orders all IACUC-approved research animals as requested by Principle Investigators (PIs). Additional duties include conducting intermittent cage and animal census, processing vendor invoices for payment, assisting with ad hoc bookkeeping and analytical tasks, along with supporting Directors and Managers, as needed and/or when office assistant is not available.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 2 years relevant experience. Experience working in a research environment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills are required, including billing, bookkeeping, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and e-mail applications.
  • Strong communication, customer-service, time management and organization skills required.
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
