General Manager, Residential Operations, AI

Position Information

Under general direction of the Director of Dining, Hospitality, and Retail Services, the General Manager will provide operational oversight and support to the management team and supervisors in a Residential Restaurant. The General Manager will also coordinate personnel, staffing, procurement, marketing, menu development, financial analysis and reporting, customer service, safety and sanitation, and fiscal controls in Residential Restaurants with annual sales in excess of $9 million.

Minimum Requirements

Strong and effective communication skills in a private or group setting. Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy while ensuring message is conveyed.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, including active listening, dynamic flexibility, and critical thinking, and ability to multi-task and ensure effective time management.
Strong knowledge in food service and sanitation regulations.
Knowledge of food trends, creation of menus, and creation of Limited Time Offerings.
Skill in creating spreadsheets and reports using Word, Excel, or other software applications.
Skill in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, computing ratios, rates and percentages.
Strong decision making and reasoning skills, and ability to develop original ideas to solve problems, and conduct operations analysis and quality control analysis.
Strong and effective interpersonal and work leadership skills to provide guidance to all levels of personnel.
Skill in understanding and interpreting the department's policies and procedures.
Intermediate computer application skills to include food service applications for point of sale and inventory control software.

Preferred Qualifications

Skill in communicating orally and in written format in Spanish.
