Grants Development Specialist

The Grants Development Specialist oversees the preparation, development, submission, and follow-through of grant applications for NACS faculty and students; assists NACS faculty and students with writing, reviewing, and editing of grant proposals; establishes procedures and internal monitoring systems for grant submissions; researches potential new grant opportunities; assists in the preparation and analysis of reports and newsletters; maintains grant information on the NACS website; and assists in special projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum requirement is a PhD degree in an area related to NACS' research foci. Prior experience in a research environment, preferably academic, with a successful record of grants development.

Skills Required for the Position:
Outstanding writing and editing skills; strong grant budget development skills; strong organizational skills; ability to work productively and collaboratively with diverse faculty teams across disciplinary boundaries; ability to work to deadline. Knowledge about sources of funding available to support NACS basic and translational research.
