Associate Professor or Professor

The Religious Studies Program at Utah State University invites applications for the Leonard J. Arrington Chair in Mormon History and Culture, the first endowed chair of Mormon Studies in the world. We seek an accomplished scholar and dynamic teacher at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, with a strong record of publication and evidence of teaching excellence.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Religious Studies, History, or related discipline, and be able to teach a variety of courses on Mormonism at the undergraduate and graduate level. The ability to teach our American Religious History course or Introduction to Religious Studies (RELS 1010) is desirable. The successful applicant will participate actively in the life of the Religious Studies Program, which consists of a vibrant community of scholar-teachers and students committed to the interdisciplinary study of religion.
