Licensed Psychologist, Multicultural Focus

Full Salary Range: $6,333 - $9,226/Monthly.

Starting salary is based on fixed criteria including the number of years as a licensed psychologist and the type of experience (e.g. additional credit given for college counseling experience, etc.)

Valid California licensure, in good standing, in Psychology


Valid out of state licensure, in good standing, in Psychology*

*Out of State licensed psychologists are required to acquire California licensure within 180 days from either submitting the application or beginning California residency, whichever occurs first.

Required to successfully complete both a pre hire criminal history background check and a pre hire credentialing check.

Required to take HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accessibility) training within 30 days of hire.

Required to comply with current Student Health Center employee health safety requirements for health care workers as defined by state and federal regulatory agencies; current health safety requirements to be discussed during interview.

A partial-year career appointment is established to accommodate foreseeable seasonal fluctuations in staffing, operational, or other needs and contains regularly scheduled furlough periods during which the incumbent remains an employee and retains health benefits, but is not at work.

Please note that the Licensed Psychologist's furlough period is for 1 month in summer (dates to be determined) and is unpaid time off.

Qualifications include:

• Demonstrated multicultural experience, skills and expertise providing culturally competent clinical services to a diverse population

• Clinical experience with individuals and couples using a brief therapy model

• Demonstrated strong clinical and crisis management skills, including ability to work with high acuity students with complex mental health needs

• Experience facilitating psycho-therapeutic and psycho-educational groups

• Experience designing and implementing multiculturally sensitive outreach programs and psycho-educational workshops
