Physics and Optical Engineering - Full Time Visiting Faculty

The department of physics and optical engineering seeks a full time visiting faculty position for a 1-year position starting August 15, 2018. A Ph.D. degree in engineering with a focus on micro and nanotechnology or materials is highly preferred. The department offers a B.S. degree in physics, B.S. degree in engineering physics (micro and nanotechnology) and a B.S. and M.S. in optical engineering. The department has active research and development programs in semiconductors, nanotechnology, astronomy, and optics. The department operates a cleanroom facility for teaching and research in microfabrication and nanotechnology as well as a modern observatory. Outstanding teaching is the most significant criterion for success at Rose-Hulman. The successful candidate will be expected to teach lower and upper division courses in engineering physics and lower division courses in physics..
