Project Coordinator – Brown University

Brown University seeks a Project Coordinator who will provide program and administrative support for the activities of the Planning, Design & Construction office. Will support project teams, especially project managers and planners with initiation, implementation, and closing out of all Planning, Design & Construction projects. Coordinate daily administrative operations of the PD&C group by assisting with the development and execution of standards, processes and practices to maximize customer satisfaction and assure appropriate communications between PD&C and internal and external stakeholders. Provide specialized administrative support of planning and project activities. Provide document preparation and data analysis in support of project managers and planners, preparing and distributing reports as needed. Provide support during the initiation and closeout of projects.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional work experience with responsibility in supporting design, building renovation and construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of software and graphic and presentation tools including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Visio. Preferred knowledge of InDesign, Workday, and Meridian Document Management System.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple repetitive tasks and create clarity in execution of these tasks.
  • Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart information to a range of clientele.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to establish effective business relationships with internal and external clients and vendors.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in a multiple priority environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
