Position Information

International Education Programs (IEP) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) Extension, has one of the largest and most successful international programs in the USA. Each year, IEP welcomes over 5,000 international students from over 40 countries. UCR has been offering high quality programs since 1975, including a multiple-level ESL program, TESOL programs, academic pathways programs, concurrent enrollment, post-graduate diplomas/certificates, and custom designed programs for short-term groups of visiting students and professionals.

Minimum Requirements

Thorough knowledge of functional area and understanding of how work may impact other areas.
Demonstrated track record of creating remarkable customer service experiences, including skill in identifying the client's perspective and maintaining a commitment to excellence in customer service. Ability to listen and respond to the needs of customers to achieve excellent customer service measured by outcomes rather than activities.
Thorough knowledge of current public educational programs and trends.
Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
Excellent ability to anticipate the needs of, respond to situations with flexibility and interact with a professional and welcoming demeanor to clients and staff. Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and cooperative team environment and function as a supportive team member with academic and staff personnel at all levels.
Thorough knowledge of and skill in delivering programs.
Ability to assess complex situations, keep others informed and make decisions that benefit the organization. Ability to adapt to changing business needs, conditions and work responsibilities in a high volume environment. Ability to respond and remain flexible around changing priorities, fluctuating workloads and constant succession of inquiries.
Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
Thorough and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills.
Demonstrated complex project management and organizational skills including prioritizing, multi-tasking and tracking information while ensuring accuracy. Excellent time management and problem solving techniques.
Demonstrated success working across diverse cultural backgrounds and with a wide range of people, including those holding senior positions. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to speak with and listen perceptively to persons of various international backgrounds. Experience networking, cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with a variety of international clients.
Thorough skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new presentations/courses to meet organizational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of managing a portfolio of business and management courses at the university or corporate level.

Fluency in a language other than English.

Thorough knowledge of organization policies and procedures.
