Schedule: T-Th 8:30am-1:30pm, F 9:00am-2:00pm, S 8:00am-3:30pm. Additional hours during peak times and as operationally needed.

Job Description:

Duties are numbered for convenience, and do not indicate order in terms of importance, frequency that the duty is performed, or the amount of time spent on the duty.

1) Performs the daily operations of the Testing Center. Performs the Start of Day Test Vendor procedures, prepares forms and equipment for testing each day. Performs End of Day and all testing protocol of the Testing Center and Test Vendor procedures.

2) Responsible for the administration of a variety of vendor certification/licensure exams, assessments, specialized testing, and proctoring services; and a variety of academic tests to include Distance Learning, Placement, and make-up exams.

3) Performs various duties within a specialized function. Assumes general responsibility for the operation of the function, subject to management overview and supervision.

4) Compiles monthly and quarterly reports, establishes databases, enhances present operational processes, and adheres to Test Vendor data/information/reporting as required for correspondence and transmission. Completes individual projects as assigned.

5) Performs various administrative, clerical, and record keeping functions: Enters all testing data into the Tracker on a daily basis; prepares rosters, and logs proctoring service requests.

6) Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the candidate/student electronic scheduling
system.

7) Monitors candidates/students and the testing environment throughout the testing session, maintain security in accordance to the NCTA, Test Center, and Test Vendors' Standards, Policies, and Guidelines.

8) Maintains test center security, confidentiality of exams, test results, and candidate information.

9) Obtains and maintains all Test Vendor Proctor/Administrator Certifications and re-certify as required by the Vendors. Remains updated on policy and procedural updates and assure all changes are implemented and recorded in the online proctor guides and Test Center manuals.

10) Services customers, using expertise and experience in the specialized function.

11) Resolves customer, operational, and administrative problems. Resolve testing and technology problems, troubleshoot computer problems, and contact Test Vendor technical support; submit incident reports to Vendors and document any testing issues and report any unresolved issues to the Supervisor.

12) Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.

13) Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance, and provides coverage when and where operationally needed.

14) Performs other related duties as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 10 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with at least one year of experience in the area of Vendor Testing and at least three years' progressively responsible clerical experience in the area of the assigned specialized function. Employee typically gains the necessary level of expertise by demonstrating job competency acquired through on-the-job training, development, and experience with Columbus State. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).

Preferred Qualifications: At least three years of experience in vendor testing, current vendor certification, proficient in Microsoft Office and public speaking, and experience working in a fast paced environment.
