Job Summary


You must be a current UK student to apply to this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to specific recipes and customer requests
- Monitor food stock levels and replenish ingredients as needed
- Ensure that all food preparation and cooking areas are clean and sanitized
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Help with meal preparation for catering events, as needed
Skills:
- Proven experience as a pizza cook or in a similar role within the food industry (Favorable but not required)
- Knowledge of pizza dough stretching techniques and pizza oven operation (Favorable but not required)
- Proficient in using kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, and ovens (Favorable but not required)
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures (Favorable but not required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of orders
