Job Description:

1) Provides technical support to ensure critical functioning for Colleague applications in areas such as admissions, registration, academic records, graduation, enrollment verification, academic standing, etc.

2) Tests and applies Colleague upgrades and patches as necessary to ensure compatibility to existing system and services.

3) Troubleshoots problems and supports the Student System module with development and implementation of Colleague applications and technical support.

4) Provides Colleague training for campus personnel.

5) Performs other system technological enhancements in cooperation with the Information Technology division and other campus entities.

6) Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required and approved to meet workload demands.

7) Performs other related duties as required.

Usual Physical Demands: The incumbent of this position typically exhibits the physical demands identified in the Functional Job Analysis on file in the College's Human Resources Department and which is periodically reviewed and updated. Physical demands listed in the Functional Job Analysis are not job qualification standards, but are used to help the College assess and determine reasonable accommodations for otherwise qualified individuals covered by the American's with Disabilities Act.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 25 pounds.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: Ellucian Colleague or other student information system; Hobsons Radius or other CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system; computer software, including the Microsoft suite, basic programming, HTML/XHTML, SQL, and database management; project management and related technology tools; report development and analysis; admissions and enrollment management objectives, strategies and technology applications; marketing and communication management; social networking; community college philosophy and operations; college student development and advising techniques; state, federal, and other mandated reporting requirements; and standard office practices and procedures. Skill in: operational analysis and troubleshooting technology systems, specifically Ellucian Colleague and Hobsons Radius; coordinating program functions; computer programming and systems maintenance; complex problem-solving; multi-tasking; project management; verbal and written communications; maintaining good public relations and customer service; general typing and operation of office equipment. Ability to: work independently, demonstrating initiative and follow through; coordinate and manage multiple tasks and activities; exhibit flexibility in work schedule and job tasks; collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions pertaining to system operations problems and enhancements; appreciate diversity and work effectively with persons of different cultures and backgrounds; develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, job contacts, and the general public. Exhibit a pleasant telephone manner; answer routine and complex inquires; maintain confidential and sensitive information; maintain accurate and complete work records; speak effectively to large groups.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with at least one year progressively responsible computer systems experience.
