Position Overview:

This positions role is to assist in the coordination, planning, developing and analyzing of data for strategic enrollment decisions. This position will also provide support for PeopleSoft functions, coordinate PeopleSoft enhancements and assist in the technology needs of the team. This position will have the opportunity to work with various campus partners and stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Through the use of SPSS, MyInsights, Pyramid, PL/SQL Developer and other data retrieval programs, this position will be responsible to retrieve, analyze and report on data trends to aid in strategic enrollment decisions.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge in data retrieval, statistical analysis, and data processing.
  • Communicate with business partners and department administrators in the course of managing and developing data retrieval projects.
  • Collect data by identifying sources of information and designing reports.
  • Resolve retrieval problems by altering the design to meet requirements.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, presenting and summarizing information.
  • Use of Admissions, New Student Programs, Financial Aid, Registrar’s and Enrollment Services data in the collection, analysis, presentation, and summarization of information.
  • Resolve systematic or data conflicts and facilitate problem resolution at the macro level.
  • Configure, test and provide support for PeopleSoft functions for Enrollment Service operations.
  • Provide support for PeopleSoft functions such as student data, and general IT support through Enrollment Services. Prepares reference for users by developing documentation of operating instructions.
  • Coordinate PeopleSoft enhancement projects for the departments of Admissions, New Student Programs, Financial Aid, Registrar and Enrollment Services.
  • Identify key elements of project requirements for system modifications and upgrades, including scope, stakeholder needs, risks, timelines, strategies, business processes and requirements.
  • Research and development of new technologies and process engineering.
  • Maintain working knowledge of best practices in Information Technology.
  • Stay current on latest technology and programming languages.
  • Assist in the service of technology needs for the departments of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar and Enrollment Services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) plus 2 years professional experience. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with relational database technology.
  • Excellent organizational and communications, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to represent end-user needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and develop productive working relationships with diverse groups of people.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communications skills that demonstrate the ability to present and communicate complex, technical information to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
  • Intermediate-level fluency with the MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Access).
  • The position also requires: a high level of accuracy, extraordinary attention to details, solid proofreading skills, ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines, and adherence to ethical and legal standards in research.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and to write SQL statements.
  • Demonstrated ability to compile and organize data to derive meaningful insights, including the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in written, numerical, and graphical forms.
  • Proficiency in using PeopleSoft Tools (Application Designer, Application Engine, Process Scheduler, PeopleCode, XML Publisher, and SQR).
  • The successful candidate will possess the interest, experience, and/or ability to promote cultural competency and/or diversity.

Salary and benefits: Salary will be in a range of $46,400 to $49,999, commensurate with qualifications. Total compensation includes an excellent benefits package:
