Job Description:

1) Provides administrative support for faculty and adjuncts.

2) Makes scheduling arrangements for classrooms and equipment.

3) Provides classroom assistance to faculty, adjuncts and students.

4) Answers general questions and provides information to students.

5) Maintains records.

6) Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required and approved to meet workload demands.

7) Performs other related duties as required.

Usual Physical Demands: The incumbent of this position typically exhibits the physical demands identified in the Functional Job Analysis on file in the College's Human Resources Department and which is periodically reviewed and updated. Physical demands listed in the Functional Job Analysis are not job qualification standards, but are used to help the College assess and determine reasonable accommodations for otherwise qualified individuals covered by the American's with Disabilities Act.

The employee regularly sits and stands. The employee regularly reaches with hands or arms and kneels or stoops from practicing life-like scenarios on the floor. Occasionally the employee climbs and balances. The employee regularly lifts EMS equipment up to 25 pounds and occasionally may lift equipment weighing up to 100 pounds. The employee frequently speaks and hears.

Working Conditions: Normal classroom and office working conditions with frequent exposure to moderate noise typical in an office and class setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to: work with a wide variety of people at all levels; instruct and train others; plan and organize daily tasks; solve problems; develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, adjuncts and others; maintain confidential and sensitive information. Skill in: general typing; organizing and coordination projects; use of laboratory equipment; computer software applications; supply inventory management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications for this position: Bachelor's Degree in assigned area or closely related field. In addition, laboratory experience is required. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
