TENURE TRACK LANGUAGES/ESL FACULTY

The County College of Morris is located in Randolph New Jersey in the suburban northwest of the state. Strategically situated just 40 miles west of New York City on the I-80 corridor and 39 miles east of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, this very special location offers easy access to the cultural center of NYC and also to outdoor recreational opportunities. From Morris County New Jersey it is a short drive to Philadelphia and just a few hours to Boston or Washington, D.C. Be prepared to be surprised by historic Morris County New Jersey!

We are currently seeking a tenure track faculty to join our Languages/ESL department who will share our commitment to student success, excellence in teaching, and academic scholarship.  Although the primary language is Italian, the position will also be responsible for teaching Spanish and/or French, so evidence of training and teaching in these languages is also required. Preference will be given to applicants whose secondary language background is Spanish.  Knowledge of second language acquisition theory and practice, including the use of instructional technologies needed.  Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills required.  Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as is evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities. A Master's degree in Italian required, a PhD is preferred.
