This is a full-time, faculty term appointment within Emergency Medical Technology department. The individual shall be knowledgeable in all aspects of pre-hospital care, capable of applying techniques and modalities of adult education, and of managing resources and resource personnel. The individual shall act as a liaison between faculty, students, the local medical community, and the Office of Emergency Medical Services. The individual is also responsible for the delivery of didactic material, demonstration of the psychomotor skills, verification of skill proficiency, and continued faculty development to meet the needs of the institution. The Instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom/lab instruction and related activities. The instructor is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. Working under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, Mechanic Lead Worker or designee. Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the general and technical maintenance and repair of all facilities, equipment and furnishings involving a variety of building trades. Performs assigned tasks to maintain the physical operations of the college, aesthetics of all facilities, and ensure a safe environment of students and staff. Work includes working with skilled tradesmen, helpers, and laborers in the daily maintenance tasks, as well as emergency repairs that are required to be completed.

We are seeking to build a pool of Adjunct Instructors for our various programs.&nbsp; If you have solid work experience and applicable skills in the fields/programs that we offer, we would like to consider sharing your knowledge on a part-time basis.&nbsp;&nbsp;
SUMMARY Part-time / Substitute Instructors are responsible for delivering quality instruction in their field of expertise as it relates to the programs offered at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville, one of our extension campuses located in Winchester and Fayetteville TN., or at a specific teaching location.&nbsp;
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Credential from a technical or community college, teaching experience, and work experience in the area being taught.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
Three (3) years of related teaching/work experience
 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

<li>Knowledge of the principles and methods of good teaching and supervision as evidenced by a rating of education and experience.</li>

RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Maintain an organized, safe, and stable learning environment.</li>
<li>Utilize in-class assessment tools/techniques to measure student achievement of course competencies.</li>
<li>Administer/proctor tests for students and outside organizations.</li>
<li>Utilize Banner to record and submit grades and attendance (tardiness and absences) daily.</li>
<li>Distribute student syllabus at the beginning of the course to define course competencies, performance criteria, established approved grading procedures and standards, attendance and class policies/procedures, and other necessary information to students.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to student success by providing guidance to students regarding course progress, and academic and disciplinary issues.</li>
<li>Coordinate all disciplinary issues with administration and Student Services Coordinator.</li>
<li>Coordinate the need for supplies with the instructor and make recommendations for items needed for the program.</li>
</ul>
SPECIFIC DUTIES
<ul>
<li>Adhere to the school calendar and daily class schedule.</li>
<li>Start and end class at designated time.</li>
<li>Perform student surveys each trimester.</li>
<li>Participate in regularly scheduled staff climate surveys.</li>
<li>Check and respond to emails twice daily.</li>
<li>Coordinate necessary absences with VP of Operations and to coincide with student breaks.</li>
<li>Work a maximum of 20 hours per week.</li>
<li>Other duties as defined by administration.</li>
</ul>
AVAILABILITY/CLOSING DATE:&nbsp; This posting is not a guarantee of an open position. Minimum Qualifications:
A student with the ability to communicate and work well with others. Students will need to demonstrate knowledge level by attaching an unofficial copy of transcripts to his/her/their application.
