The division staffs one of two licensed pediatric hemodialysis units in the state accredited for a total of number of 8 patients. The hospital has received continued UNOS accreditation in 2020 for Pediatric Kidney Transplantation as part of a combined Pediatric and Adult Transplant program. The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at KCH is an active member center of the Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium (PRNC) and is participating in NIH supported research including CureGN, CKiD, GIGA, and others. The Department of Pediatrics at KCH is committed to providing excellence in education, clinical care, and research.
