Required Education
High School Diploma or GED required
College course work preferred. Current certification or completed training as EMT, Paramedic, LPN or RN.
Required Related Experience
Applicants preferred to be 19 years of age or older by August 1, 2024 for employment. Experience in the position for which the applicant is applying for is preferred.
Required License/Registration/Certification
Applicants must possess an EMT certification (or higher) from a nationally recognized organization valid through the entirety of summer.
Physical Requirements
Applicant must be available to work long hours in a noisy environment, work in outside/hot conditions, and be on feet for long periods of time
Shift
Days, nights, and some weekends. Staff are expected to live on the camp property and follow safety recommendations while on and off duty. Internship positions are mid-May 2025 through early August 2025.
Job Summary
Kentucky 4-H Camping is seeking camp healthcare providers who can provide exceptional customer service, high-quality interactions when performing first aid, react to emergency situations, and dispense prescribed and OTC medication for the 14,000+ campers and volunteers attending four residential 4-H camp facilities for summer 2025: Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp, (Nancy, KY); Feltner 4-H Camp, (London, KY); North Central 4-H Camp, (Carlisle, KY); West Kentucky 4-H Camp, (Dawson Springs, KY).
