Job Summary
The College of Communication and Information is accepting applications for an Academic Advisor II. Undergraduate advising is part of the learning mission of the University. Advisors will present the curriculum required for each part of a degree as well as fully explain the rationale of the courses and assist students in integrating the degree requirements as one part of a student’s overall career plan.
This position provides firm information about degree programs within the College so that students are equipped to make more informed decisions as they begin as first-year, transfer or exploratory and move through each year of study.
Provide all exploratory students options within the College and outside the College by recommending key resources and individually guiding these students within the decision making process.
Undergraduate advising is one key component within our collaborative and vast amount of resources all working towards student success including learning, retention and graduation.
