Job Summary
The Research Financial Services department under University Financial Services is looking for a candidate for their Accounting Coordinator Senior position. This individual will provide financial and technical support to various areas of the office with a primary focus on the accounts receivable and financial systems support. Technical skills are vital as this position is responsible for the master data review and maintenance requirements of sponsored project accounts in SAP. This position is also primarily responsible for processing payments for sponsored projects and conducting initial research for receipts not clearly associated with an invoice or award. Accounting skills will aid in performing a variety of duties for the department including reconciling departmental cost centers and clearing accounts relating to SAP functions; analyzing grant accounting data to determine record retention requirements and purge processing; and preparing, maintaining, monitoring, and forecasting the annual budget. General office administration is also necessary. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the University financial systems and grant-related accounting transactions and functions.

MS Windows, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, SAP, accounting, and communication.

Accounting degree; technical skills, financial analysis, and accounts receivable and cash processing experience preferred.
