Physical Requirements

This position requires regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and performing tasks with repetitive motions.

Days; Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm



Job Summary

This position assists with quality patient care by coordinating with the service line leadership on administrative support needs for Kentucky Children’s Hospital. This position will also serve as a liaison with other departments to ensure the standards for equipment and supplies are met. The Administrative Services Assistant prepares and facilitates purchasing for service line needs through the Hospital Administration business office in accordance with the University of Kentucky Business procedures and utilizes processes as established by Hospital Administration. Maintains record of expenditures on a monthly basis. Establishes and implements system for inventory, distribution, charging and controlling supplies, equipment and forms. Other responsibilities include mail distribution, ensuring appropriate signage, bulletin board maintenance, CNS request, new employee badge forms and designated meeting minutes as assigned. Will proactively manage and assist with defined operations leadership group calendars that will include coordination, meeting scheduling and potential travel arrangements.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks while accurately completing routine functions in a fast-paced, high-intensity, professional work environment; proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent attention to detail; exceptional planning and organizational skill; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service, time management, and judgment; and respect.

Preferred Education/Experience

More than four years of similar administrative support experience preferred.
