Physical Requirements

Sitting for long periods of time, walking to patient appointments, lifting objects less than 20 pounds, and repetitive motions such as typing and using a computer.



Shift

Day shift, 8:00am-5:00pm, with some holiday requirements. Hours and days of the week subject to change based on the needs and growth of the department.



Job Summary

The Medication Assistance Program Manager will lead and oversee the Medication Assistance Program team, ensuring the effective support of UKHC’s retail and specialty pharmacy services. The manager will actively participate in relevant hospital and departmental committees, contributing expertise to enhance clinical practices and patient care. Collaboration and communication with multidisciplinary team members are essential to coordinate comprehensive services for patients. Additionally, the manager will supervise PharmD students and pharmacy technicians, oversee undergraduate and graduate teaching initiatives, and develop educational programs for hospital staff. This position plays a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and educational environment, promoting continuous professional development and excellence in medication assistance services.

Knowledge of medication assistance programs; knowledge of outpatient and specialty pharmacy operations; strong clinical skills; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position
