Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: Occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; occasional standing or walking with objects 10-25lbs; intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with intermittent repetitive motions (such as typing); occasional exposure to loud noises; and occasional job related travel (<10% of the time).



Shift

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with some evening, nights, and weekends required per business needs.


This is a hybrid position.



Job Summary

This Role is a critical role in the transformational change at UK Healthcare to enable analytics and business intelligence to function as core infrastructure in support of the strategy: data as a strategic asset. The Analytics Application Analyst participates as a resource in the analytics structure and data warehousing functions of the University of Kentucky Healthcare. This role maintains and supports key analytics applications to ensure availability, performance, and data integrity between interfacing and interfaced systems. The Application Analyst performs problem analysis and impact in support of decisions in application processes as well as provides technical support to other developers, data managers, clinicians, and researchers utilizing UKHC data. Additionally, the Analytics Applications Analyst will regularly be engaged in the administration and development of processes in variety of data management tools such as DataStage, Azure, Data Bricks, Power BI, Azure SQL, PowerShell, etc. will require and attain the skills of relevant tools to perform development and administration activities. UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare is expanding through the construction of a new hospital and potential future acquisitions. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience in application support, and system problem solving. The ideal candidate will have knowledge to develop and administer Analytics, Business Intelligence and Reporting environments that leverages tools such as DataStage, Tableau, Qlik, SSRS, Data Bricks, Power BI, Azure SQL, PowerShell, etc. as well as an understanding of analysis of structured and unstructured data and of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL. Must be a customer focused and possess strong facilitation, presentation, conflict management, and problem solving and communications skills.

BA degree in IT, Data, Math, Finance, HealthCare, Business or related field

Master’s degree preferred

2+ years’ experience in related field
