THE UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY has an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or tenured or non-tenured Associate Professor position in Developmental Psychology. Given our department’s multi-disciplinary and transdisciplinary research focus, candidates with expertise in developmental areas that interface with other fields of psychology represented in our department (e.g., clinical, social-personality) and/or other University units (e.g., psychiatry, neuroscience, political science, education) are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates who can leverage expertise to advance university initiatives on topics of health/healthcare, “just and equitable societies,” or “the digital future,” broadly construed, are also encouraged to apply.

The department has Ph.D. programs in Clinical, Developmental and Social-Personality Psychology. Qualifications: The appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate (non-tenured or tenured) Professor rank. A Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology, Human Development, or related field is required at the time of appointment. Applicants should have a strong record of research productivity and demonstrate promise for future extramural funding, scientific growth, and leadership. Competitive salary and startup funds are available commensurate with experience.
