Assistant Professor, Accounting

Expected to begin Fall 2025, this tenure-track position will be responsible for teaching various accounting courses to undergraduate and graduate students, covering topics such as taxation, data analytics, accounting information systems, and/or auditing, depending on the accounting department's needs. Research leading to publications, student advisement, along with departmental, college, and university service is expected. Faculty are further expected to be actively engaged on campus and contribute to an energetic educational environment. The Accounting Department prepares students for careers as accounting professionals in a modern and global society.  We are part of the School of Business & Economics which is internationally accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). We offer students a broad-based education with a global perspective and an emphasis on experiential learning. As SUNY Plattsburgh is an institution that delivers challenging and high-quality educational experiences to a diverse group of learners, the successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity, inclusion, and equity-minded policies, programs, and practices.
