Assistant Professor, School of Physician Assistant Studies
The role of a Physician Assistant faculty member is to coordinate and teach courses and lectures, participate in patient assessment and clinical skills workshops, advise/evaluate students, and contribute to the program's overall success. The ideal candidate will be passionate about contributing to PA student education and deeply committed to providing students with high-quality, impactful learning experiences.

Salary Range: $112,000/annual - $122,000/annual
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates, teaches and evaluates the effectiveness of assigned courses/modules.
- Prepares lectures/presentations and student assessments for assigned courses/modules.
- Assures the availability of remedial learning activities and office hours.
- Tracks and monitors progress within assigned courses/modules.
- Participates in training and evaluating students in physical exam workshops, laboratory, and clinical skills sessions.
- Serves as an Academic Advisor to students throughout the program.
- Participates in activities related to ongoing program assessment and data analysis.
- Participates as a clinician at community health fairs, interprofessional clinics, and other outreach projects, supervising PA students as requested.
- Fosters academic collaboration with other MBKU programs.
- Engages in faculty development or clinical practice activity.
- Serves on University and College committees and task forces as requested, including the Didactic, Admissions, Student Progress, and Self-Assessment Committees.
- Carries out scholarly and professional activities in alignment with the SPAS T&P guidelines and the University Faculty Handbook.
- Attends special student or program events, including White Coat Ceremony, graduation, program retreats, etc.
- Collaborates with the Program Director and other faculty to review/revise the mission statement, goals, and student competencies as needed.
- Other program duties assigned by the Program Director or Academic Director.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- NCCPA-Certified Physician Assistant with a current California State license.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as a physician assistant and/or other health professional degree preferred.
- Previous teaching or administrative experience preferred.
