Physical Requirements

Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 lbs. or standing/walking for long periods of time.



Shift

Monday – Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm plus weekends when sport is in-season for competitions and recruiting.



Job Summary

The Assistant Athletic Trainer position will be directly responsible for the Women’s Soccer Team. Daily coverage of practices and competitions will be required, including team travel. Additional indirect responsibilities will be with another team(s) as assigned along with assistance with NCAA and institutional drug testing programs, injury record keeping on Sportsware, along with other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine.

Ensure proper licenses are maintained, specifically NATA Certification and State of Kentucky Licensure and complies with NCAA, SEC and University rules and policies.

IEBC (Internal Employee Being Considered).



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Eligible for state of Kentucky Athletic Training license.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master’s degree in an Athletic Training Related field; Athletic Training Experience or participation in the sport of Soccer; experience with covering sport teams at a “Power 5” Conference school strongly preferred.
