The Basketball Administrative Assistant provides support for the day-to-day operations of Furman’s Men and Women Basketball Division 1 teams.Job Description:
Accounting/Budget Responsibilities:
- Submit spend authorizations for travel, process all travel receipts, and properly code charges in Workday.
- Prepare expense reports and verify procurement charges of operational purchases
- Process cash advance and per diem requests for the department and student-athletes
- Submit payment requests for invoices and game guarantees in a timely manner
- Prepare interdepartmental invoices and ad hoc requests
- Review budget as needed for Head Coaches
- Prepare cash/check deposits and donations for department
- Work closely with the athletics finance department to ensure adherence to proper documentation, filing, and procedures
- Assist with financial elements of fundraiser events including preparation of credit memos and fundraiser summary reports
Other Duties:
- Greet, professionally engage, and maintain a welcome atmosphere for all visitors
- Perform general office duties including answering phones, ordering supplies, copying and faxing, and preparing mass mailings
- Answer emails in a timely manner
- Prepare an NCAA-compliant report of all official visits
- Prepare National Letters of Intent and Financial Aid agreements for recruits.
- Prepare and finalize game contracts
- Submit travel lists prior to each team travel event
- Perform other duties as needed for each Coaching staff
