Shift

Primarily Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am. – 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as needed.



Job Summary

The Bioinformatics Analyst uses software and databases to gather, store, manipulate, and analyze clinical and research data. This individual identifies and resolves technical issues and proposes upgrades to existing software. They use established tools to analyze NGS and other ‘omics’ data. The analyst works closely with senior lab members on deliverables and routinely consults with, and receives guidance from, senior staff and the Principal Investigator (PI).



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Basic bioinformatic skills are required. R, Python, and/or C/C++ programming skills. Independent thinking/decision-making.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor of science followed by at least a masters in computer science and/or biology. Understanding of both wet and dry lab approaches.
