Job Summary
We are seeking a resourceful and globally minded Business Development & Partnerships Coordinator to support and manage strategic partnerships for HBS Foundry. Reporting to the Marketing and Brand Manager, this role will focus on partnership outreach, coordination, and relationship management, with an emphasis on building partnerships across diverse markets, including emerging regions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to navigate global environments, identify potential partners, and foster relationships that align with HBS Foundry’s mission to empower entrepreneurs worldwide. This role is pivotal in expanding HBS Foundry’s global network and ensuring long-term, valuable collaborations.
Position Description
Responsibilities Include:
- Partnership Coordination:
- Support the implementation of partnership strategies by managing outreach, communication, and follow-ups with potential and existing partners.
- Lead outreach efforts and maintain communication with potential and existing partners to drive partnership growth, with a focus on emerging markets.
- Supporting Partnership Outreach:
- Conduct research to identify potential partners across diverse markets, and assist in outreach via email, phone, and other communication channels.
- Maintaining Partnerships:
- Manage ongoing partner relationships through regular communication, meeting coordination, and ensuring the successful delivery of partnership benefits.
- Assist in managing ongoing relationships, supporting partner engagement, and ensuring the delivery of partnership benefits in line with strategic objectives.
- Event and Affiliate Partnerships:
- Assist the Marketing and Brand Manager in managing event sponsors, affiliate organizations, and other key partners to ensure alignment with HBS Foundry’s strategic objectives.
- Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor partnership activities, engagement levels, and performance metrics.
- Assist in preparing comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders to assess partnership impact.

- Market Research:
- Perform market research and competitor analysis to identify new partnership opportunities, with attention to high-potential global markets.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify and support new partnership opportunities, particularly in emerging markets.
- Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (content, product, marketing) to ensure seamless integration of partnership initiatives into the platform’s offerings and promotional strategies.
- This role is also responsible for other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a similar role, ideally within the education, entrepreneurship, or technology sectors required.
- Education beyond high school may count toward experience.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) for managing partner relationships and tracking activities.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Experience developing and managing partnerships in emerging markets, particularly in regions such as India or South Africa, is highly desirable.
- Communication & Organizational Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple relationships, projects, and deadlines effectively.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and content teams, and coordinate tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptable approach to overcoming challenges and seizing new opportunities in partnership development.
Additional Information
This position is approved for a 1-year term (with possibility of renewal/extension) which begins on the person's first day of employment.
This is a hybrid position which we consider to be a combination of remote and onsite work at our Boston, MA based campus. HBS expects all staff to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week and departments provide onsite coverage Monday – Friday. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice.
This is a 40 hours/week, overtime-eligible position.
