Job Summary

The Certified Ophthalmic Lead is a clinically competent Certified Ophthalmic Assistant responsible for day-to-day patient care and support for clinics with over 10 Ophthalmic Assistants or Technicians. In collaboration with clinic managers and supervisors, the Lead provides orientation, training, and ongoing professional development, while also delivering direct patient care.

The Certified Ophthalmic Lead is involved in both preventive and specialty eye care, utilizing their training and experience to perform accurate diagnostic testing and procedures under the supervision of a provider. This role supports providers to help them focus on patient care and ensures efficient clinic operations. In addition, the Certified Ophthalmic Lead assists in developing initiatives to improve clinical outcomes and works closely with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care and ensure positive patient outcomes.

Excellent oral communication, multi-tasking ability, knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostics, ability to train others

3+ years ophthalmic experience. Leadership experience preferred
