Position Summary
The Clinic Support Staff is responsible for supporting daily business operations at the Community Eye Clinic located in Fort Worth, Texas. This position manages patient and provider scheduling, the patient check-in/check-out process, collecting payments, and referrals. The Clinic Support Staff reports to the Clinic Associate Professor/Clinic Co-Director.

This position is located at the Community Eye Clinic located at 655 Taylor Street, Fort Worth, TX, 76102.

Essential Functions

Job Duties

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, or similar systems
Strong communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
Strong ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong customer service skills.
Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and policies.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Required Work Experience
At least one (1) year work experience in an office setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual skills in Spanish language.
One (1) year of work experience in an optometric practice.
Experience using electronic medical records.

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
None specified.

Work Hours
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed to meet departmental goals. May occasionally include evenings and weekends as needed to support clinic operations.

Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs of office supplies.
