Job Summary

The UK College of Pharmacy (COP) is seeking a College Financial Analyst. This position will have oversight and monitoring of all COP Cost Centers, ensures the maintenance of all account activity supporting documentation is filed and retained appropriately, and monthly (at minimum) reconciliation of all assigned accounts.

They will process a variety of financial transactions daily including, but not limited to: travel vouchers, PRDs, SRMs, Pro-card edits, journal vouchers, check/cash/ACH transmittals, and SAGs. They safeguard the funds disbursed by ensuring: the stewardship and appropriateness of expenditures; compliance with all laws, regulations, and restrictions regarding the COP’s disbursement activities.

The incumbent of this position will be the COP representative and ‘subject-matter’ expert as it relates to reconciliation activities. This will require establishing effective liaisons with the appropriate administrators in the University to ensure that the position’s incumbent continues to be apprised of any revisions implemented to UK’s reconciliation policies and procedures and that ‘best business practices’ around these activities are maintained within the COP.

This position will assist the Assistant Dean Finance/Administration (ADFA) with the College’s annual budget, expense projections and the year-end closing schedule. They will contribute to various annual productivity and financial reports for both internal and external constituencies, perform monthly account reconciliations for cost center and grant accounts, and process journal vouchers, budget transfers, and revisions.

This position will provide excellent customer service, recognizing that the unit’s clients include all faculty, staff, students and sponsors of the COP, and members of the community both internal and external to UK by ensuring that any questions related to reconciliation methodologies and deliverables are answered in a timely manner and that reconciliations are processed accurately and expeditiously.
