Job Summary

The Director of Safety & Emergency Services (Manager III, Safety) provides operational leadership, direction, and training to the staff of the Operations and Emergency Services Office and KCTCS college employees involved in the office’s functional areas. Oversees all KCTCS Environmental Health and Safety, Crisis Management, Title IX Compliance and System Office security, safety, and environmental management Services. Develops and maintains policies and business procedures for division’s functional areas.

This is a defined-term contract position renewable each fiscal year and located in Versailles, KY.

This position may offer a hybrid work schedule.

Job Duties:

Provides administrative support and directions in developing crisis and emergency management plans, policies, and procedures.

Provides support, assistance, and direction in developing environmental health and safety plans, training, policies, and procedures.

Provides support, assistance and direction in Title XI compliance, training, policies and procedures.

Provides reporting and information to Assistant Vice President of Facilities Support Services related to security, safety, and environmental management services.

Manages contracts providing services related to security, safety, and environmental management services.

Provides support to Capital Projects as required related to security, safety and environmental management services.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and four (4) years of relevant experience.

Deep knowledge, experience, and skills in one or more of the following disciplines – Environmental Health, Crisis/Emergency Planning, Clery/Title IX, Building operations. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and six (6) years of relevant experience.

Deep knowledge, experience, and skills in one or more of the following disciplines – Environmental Health, Crisis/Emergency Planning, Clery/Title IX, Building operations.
