Job Summary

Big Sandy Community and Technical College is seeking an Adult Education Specialist II/Career Navigator and Data Assessment Specialist to serve Floyd county. The successful candidate will meet regularly with students to provide support and resources.
Work in collaboration with partners to increase enrollment, retention and transition efforts.
Input data and create and analyze data reports.

Job Duties:

  • The College and Career Navigator will serve as CCN in Floyd County and will work with other CCNs in the four-county service area with regard to student career pathways, supporting student progression and transition steps to post-secondary training or employment.
  • Inputs data into the KAERS system creates and analyzes queried reports and shares the scorecard with the program director, the college, and partnering agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and one year related work experience in the Business, Adult Education or Public Advocacy fields. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and three years related work experience in the Business, Adult Education or Public Advocacy fields.
  • The ability and willingness to work in a high paced environment.
  • Planning and implementation.
  • Proven collaboration with external partners.
  • to work with students to transition them to work or post-secondary education.
