Position Information

Hiring Department: Technology Support

Posting End Date: Open until filled. This posting may close once a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received.

Hours: 19 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday

FLSA status: Non-exempt

Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.

Salary: $12.00 per hour

Note: This position is a temporary part-time position and subject to availability of funds.

A valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.



Purpose of Position

Essential Functions





Answer all incoming phone calls routed from the main University phone number in a prompt and professional manner.

Provide accurate information regarding university departments, programs, events, and campus services.

Direct calls to appropriate personnel or departments efficiently and effectively.

Assist callers with campus directory assistance and information lookup services.

Handle emergency calls according to established protocols, ensuring quick and appropriate responses.

Responsible for maintaining and validating database information utilized by the automated speech recognition software to ensure accuracy of directory listings.

Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Complies with all State and University policies.



Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma

and

Experience: One (1) year of experience, related to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
