Job Summary

The ERP Programmer III (Application Developer Ill) PeopleSoft Campus Solutions position is responsible for programming of ERP applications in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions area under general guidance from a respective senior programmer or manager. Performs independent systems analysis, gathers functional specification, programming in PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQL, UNIX Shell, SQR, etc.), testing and prepares/maintains programming documentation. Performs a wide variety of analytical and reporting work. Provides general support for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions functional users across KCTCS.

This is a defined-term contract position renewable each fiscal year.

Job Duties:

Provides Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) - PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) production software support (technical support for system office and statewide colleges, problem resolution, testing, implementing interfaces, setup issues, researching, etc.).

Implements enhancements to software and provides detailed documentation of enhancements to software (new modules and custom enhancements, etc.).

Provides custom reporting solutions for functional users, including detailed technical specifications and documentation.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Technology, Business or related field and three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Technology, Business or related field and five (5) years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Additional Skills Requested:

Programming in PeopleSoft or related Enterprise Resource Planning development languages and techniques: PeopleCode, Application Engine, UNIX shell, sqr, SQL, XML Publisher, PS Query, etc.

Has a strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle preferred).

Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
