Job Summary
The Bursar’s Office of Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a Financial Specialist III. The position is located on the Downtown Campus and duties include weekly monitoring and maintenance of student accounts, collection of accounts receivable, compilation of weekly and/or monthly departmental reports, providing customer service to students, staff, faculty, and other duties as needed to support the effective operation of the department.
Job Duties:
• Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in basic accounting and cash handling.
• Strong computer skills.
• Commitment to a positive customer service experience.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field), and one year related experience, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• PeopleSoft experience preferred and Excel experience required
