Job Summary
The University of Kentucky (UK) is excited to announce that we are hiring a Post-Award Grant Specialist to provide support inthe Collaborative Grant Services (CGS) department.
This position is the result of a nearly year-long initiative to enhance administrative support for sponsored research at the University by providing high-quality, customer-service focused, and compliant research administration support to a large and varied group of investigators – faculty, staff, and students who are involved in innovative research across numerous disciplines, creating, discovering, and exploring the most complex problems facing Kentucky, our nation and the world.
With employees in the department currently working across the U.S. and from both coasts, this is a great remote work opportunity. For those near Lexington, KY, hybrid work may also be available.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, support of sponsored award accounting and compliance including ensuring all charges are compliant, preventing over- or under-spending of awards, and contributing regular support through entry and analysis of data within various sponsor and university financial-related systems. Additional responsibilities will be remaining current and knowledgeable on sponsored project policy and related university rules and regulations. The Grant Specialist will also be responsible for providing exceptional customer service through timely response and follow-up related to these duties.
