Days: Mon-Fri: 7:00AM – 3:30PM; 8 hrs/day (40 hrs/week).



Job Summary

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL) seeks a Histology Technologist. This technician will assist veterinary pathologists in efforts to diagnose animal diseases by preparing histology slides for microscopic examination through carrying out all phases of processing of tissues for routine and special histology. The position is located at the Coldstream Research Campus off Newtown Pike (great location and free parking) and offers outstanding benefits. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Tissue embedding, microtomy, tissue section staining, reagents preparation, handling
of hazardous waste and trimming of formalized tissue specimens is required. Skills
should include manual dexterity, attention to detail. Filing blocks and slides; data entry
is required. Background in biology and chemistry preferred.
